2020 Audi A6 allroad Review

Overview
All-road and all-weather abilities; Plush interior with generous cargo space; High-end standard features; Brisk acceleration and handling
Pricier than competitors; Lacks an SUV's ride height
The allroad is an all-wheel-drive luxury wagon. It offers the practicality of an SUV with the handling of a sports sedan. The cabin is exceptionally equipped, with a dual-touchscreen infotainment system and an audio system with tweeters that rise out of the dashboard. Mild-hybrid technology improves performance and fuel efficiency. Few manufacturers make station wagons anymore, and the A6 Allroad is one of the most stylish.

Trims and Pricing
The Audi A6 allroad comes in two well-equipped trims: Premium Plus and Prestige.
The Premium Plus trim level starts around $66,000. It comes with a wealth of standard features, with things like an air suspension, 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a panoramic power moonroof, four-zone climate control, leather upholstery, navigation, a power-closing tailgate, proximity keyless entry, a Bang & Olufsen 3D premium audio system, surround-view cameras, auto-dimming/heated/power-folding side mirrors with memory, and 20-inch wheels.
The Prestige model retails for about $70,500. It adds ambient lighting, a roll-up sunshade for the rear side windows, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Engine and Performance
Interior
Except for its much larger cargo area, the cabin of the allroad is quite similar, not surprisingly, to that of its sibling, the A6 sedan. Audi does an excellent job in all of its vehicles of bringing technology and style in an understated manner, and here that idea shines. The A6 allroad feels like a luxury vehicle through and through. Though it is somewhat pricey, there is an array of standard amenities that is difficult to find on similarly-priced SUVs. The four-point air-suspension provides a soft and quiet ride. The heated front seats come with four-way lumbar support. The Bang & Olufsen audio system’s tweeters rise out of the dashboard. Front and rear side airbags provide extra peace of mind.
Compared to other luxury wagons on the market today, the A6 allroad offers similar interior space. The headroom throughout the car is better than others, and the rear legroom is superb. Cargo capacity is not at the top of its class, but it’s close, with 30 cubic feet of space with the back seats in place. And if more room is called for, then those 40/20/40 split-folding seats can lower down.
In almost every way, the A6 allroad is more substantial than the A4 allroad. The A6 has a larger fuel tank (19.3 gallons versus 15.3), more cargo space (30 cubes versus 24.2), more rear area. The A4 does have more ground clearance and slightly more front headroom, so those wanting an affordable luxury crossover alternative may want to give that a look.
