What's New for 2019
Trims and Pricing
The Audi A6 is offered in three trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.
The Premium trim starts below $60,000 and comes well-equipped compared to some of its competitors. All trim levels come standard with Audi’s renowned Quattro all-wheel-drive system and the S line exterior trim offers a sportier appearance. On the inside, the A6 is equipped with navigation plus, dual interior haptic touchscreens (8.8” screen on top and a 7” touchscreen below), Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and native voice controls to help navigate while driving. The interior also features ambient LED lighting, complementing the leather trim and contrast stitching on the dashboard and seats. Each vehicle features segment-leading safety features such as front and rear collision warning systems, rain-sensing wipers, a backup camera, tire pressure monitoring, and front and rear parking sensors. 19” alloy wheels, LED headlights, and a panoramic sunroof comes as standard.
The Premium Plus trim starts in the low $60,000 range. It features the core options found on the Premium trim but also adds additional technology and comfort. The driver gains Audi Virtual cockpit, which is a large display that replaces the standard gauge cluster and offers customizable access to navigation, speed and vehicle information just behind the steering wheel. Other features include the addition of the Bang and Olufsen premium audio system, a top view camera system with virtual 360 view, matrix-design LED headlights with high-beam assist and a larger interior haptic touchscreen.
The most luxurious Audi A6 trim offered is known as the Prestige which starts closer to $70,000. As standard, the driver gains a customizable color head-up display. Furthermore, ventilated front seats, four-zone automatic climate control and automatic closing doors have been added. The Prestige trim also has an upgraded 19 Speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound System and a night vision assistant system available as stand-alone options.
Engine and Performance
Interior
The high-tech interior, redesigned for 2019, offers the latest in Audi design with a simplified and ergonomic layout. In order to streamline the interior, the A6 employs two haptic touchscreens with the top screen used for navigation and infotainment while the lower screen for climate control and vehicle drive settings. Attention to detail is apparent throughout the cabin with integrated air vents, high-quality buttons, and a consistent design language.
The interior inside of the Audi A6 is based on the top-of-the-line A8 and features leather seating surfaces, real wood trim, and premium contrast stitching, all of which come as standard. Colors range from black leather with rock grey stitching to a warm okapi brown with steel grey stitching to complement either a dark walnut or natural brown ash wood trim. The interior can also be upgraded with the individual contour seating package which features Valcona leather on the seats, dash, armrests and center console in addition to other comfort features.
The Audi A6 also offers a highly adjustable cockpit sure to accommodate any driver. If you look closely, controls are turned ever so slightly toward the driver to make the experience even more focused. On the road, the Audi A6 sets the bar for cabin comfort and sound isolation separating occupants from the outside world in style.
