Engine and Performance
The engine on 2.0T models is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder capable of producing 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission come standard. The EPA estimates fuel economy to be 20 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg combined.
For 3.0T models the engine is a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that pumps out 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. An automatic start-stop system and an eight-speed automatic transmission come standard. Fuel economy estimates come in at 18 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg combined. When properly equipped, 3.0T models can tow up to 4,400 pounds.
Hybrid models come with the 2.0T’s engine along with an electric motor and battery pack. Combined, the powertrain produces 245 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Fuel mileage estimates from the EPA are 24 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg for combined driving.
Interior
Buyers can choose from either black, light grey or brown seats, which also determines the accent colors on the door panels and other areas of the Audi Q5’s interior. As can be expected from Audi, the overall craftsmanship and quality of materials in the vehicle’s interior are nothing short of incredible, giving a sophisticated and luxurious feel to anyone who climbs inside. Audi has also done a wonderful job of simplifying the gauge cluster and controls layout in the center stack and center console, making finding the controls you need while driving a much easier experience. The steering wheel mounted controls are exceptionally easy to use, and they allow you to control not only the cruise control but also the vehicle’s infotainment system.
The panoramic sunroof actually makes the Q5’s interior feel incredibly spacious. The reality is that the front seats provide ample room for even full-grown adults. The rear seats also provide plenty of room thanks to the ability to slide backward and recline, which is rare in the compact luxury SUV market. With the rear seats folded down, cargo space totals 57 cubic feet.
