Powerful engine and nimble handling; Great traction with all-wheel-drive; Luxurious with great attention to detail
Coupe sacrifices some practicality
The Audi RS 5 is an all-wheel-drive sports car aimed at people who want incredibly fast acceleration, a luxurious cabin, and everyday driveability. Available as a coupe or sedan, the RS 5 is based on the venerable Audi A5 and adds many high-performance upgrades. It comes with a turbocharged V6 engine that makes 444 horsepower. Audi released the RS 5 in 2010, and the second generation launched in 2018.

Trims and Pricing
Audi offers the RS 5 in a single trim, which comes with plenty of standard equipment. For the exterior, the car comes with 19-inch forged alloy wheels, plus summer performance tires, full LED headlights, headlight washers, LED taillights with dynamic turn signals, Aluminum-optic front grille trim, and a rear lip spoiler.
When it comes to interior comfort, you benefit from three-zone automatic climate control, a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, shift paddles, front armrest, ambient LED interior lighting, panoramic sunroof, stainless steel pedal caps, automatic wipers, and cruise control. Keyless entry and ignition add a nice convenience, along with Audi pre sense basic, Audi side assist, Audi pre sense rear, Audi pre sense city, 7-inch color driver information screen, voice controls, 7-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, SDXC card slots, two USB ports, Bluetooth, and HomeLink controller.
Audi even includes regenerative braking, putting some of the energy from stopping or slowing down back into the vehicle.
An RS 5 Coupe comes with a factory invoice of about $69,000 and an MSRP of about $75,000. Being a member comes with benefits, because your Certified Dealer provides pricing right up front, even including savings in that offer, all without any haggling.

Interior
You get to choose among four different interior colors and upholstery materials: Black Nappa leather with Crescendo Red diamond stitching, Lunar Silver Nappa leather with Rock Gray honeycomb stitching, Black Nappa leather with Rock Gray honeycomb stitching, and Black leather/Alcantara with Rock Gray diamond stitching. The rest of the interior has a black color scheme, with carbon fiber and silver inlays. Overall, the materials used in the cabin are of excellent quality, and they’re assembled with skilled craftsmanship. That gives this coupe a high-end feel.
The sport front seats are incredibly comfortable for even longer drives, thanks to large, supportive bolsters plus plenty of padding. Up front there’s plenty of room, while the rear is quite cramped. The rear seats also aren’t nearly as well-padded.
Audi sticks with simple controls that are placed in nice groupings, so finding what you need when you need it isn’t a problem. The digital gauge cluster has options for layouts that you prefer over others. As for the infotainment system, it’s reasonably simple to use, once you get used to the menu navigation. The screen itself is placed at the top of the center stack, protruding over the dashboard, making it look somewhat like an afterthought. That placement does make referencing it while driving a quick procedure, which is a plus.
