What's New for 2020

The Audi TT RS starts close to $68,000 and comes standard with a wide host of features. On the outside, the TT RS is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, LED headlights, taillights, and daytime running lights, a fixed rear spoiler, red brake calipers, proximity keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, and power-folding and heated outside mirrors.

Moving into the inside, you will find Nappa leather upholstery with contrast stitching, heated power-adjustable sport seats, automatic climate control, leather and Alcantara flat-bottom steering wheel, LED ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a wireless phone charger, and a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth.

The optional Technology package adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Navigation, and a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system for just under $3,000.

A single powertrain setup is available for the Audi TT RS. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, which puts out a potent 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission, which provides quick and smooth gear changes. Power is sent to all four wheels using Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel drive.

The EPA estimates the fuel economy of 19/29/23 mpg city/highway/combined.

The interior of the TT RS maintains a nice balance of luxury while conforming to fit its performance-oriented personality. Audi achieves this by giving the TT RS several sporty design touches while continuing to employ premium materials throughout. The Nappa leather sport seats are heavily bolstered and feature blue, red, or gray stitching to add extra flare. The flat-bottom steering wheel is racecar inspired with a combination of leather and Alcantara providing a soft touch. As with most Audis, build quality is tangibly noticeable throughout the cabin.

The vehicle controls will be familiar to anyone who has spent some time in an Audi before. The system is quick to learn and very easy to use once you get it down. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not standard like with several of the TT RS’s rivals but can be optioned on with the Technology package. The rear seats are a tight squeeze for adults but convenient to have for extra storage or younger passengers.
