Trims and Pricing
Chevrolet offers the City Express in two trim levels: LS and LT. Standard equipment for the LS includes 15-inch steel wheels, a single standard power outlet, full-size spare tire, antilock brakes for all four wheels, traction control, vinyl floor covers, sliding doors on both sides, and a sound system with two speakers mounted in the front doors. The LT adds power locks, power windows, remote keyless entry, two standard power outlets, powered and heated side mirrors, interior rearview mirror, Rear Park Assist, and Bluetooth connectivity. An Appearance package can be added to either trim level. It includes wheel covers, body-color side mirror caps, body-color door handles, chrome front grille, and body-color bumpers. A Technology package can only be added to the LT and features a USB port, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Color Connected Radio, navigation, and a rearview camera. A City Express comes with a factory invoice of about $24,000 for an LS model and an MSRP of about $25,000. The LT trim level adds about $1,500 to the vehicle’s MSRP. Engine and Performance
Interior
The interior of the Chevy City Express is pretty simple and straightforward, with plenty of cheap black and grey plastic surfaces all over. The big plus is that the gauge cluster and center stack are pretty simple as well, which means fewer distractions for drivers. The infotainment system is simple to use, but the screen is fairly small. The front seating area is ample enough to accommodate large adults, but the seats are only marginally comfortable. The passenger seat folds flat and has a tray on the back, which makes for a great place to pop open a laptop computer if necessary. With sliding doors on both sides, and 40/60 split rear cargo doors, access to the cargo area is ample and makes loading larger items or unloading multiple boxes or other items a faster job. According to Chevy, there is 122.7 cubic feet of cargo area in the rear, which is impressive for the van's small size. Business owners can install all kinds of shelving and other storage solutions in the rear, depending on their needs.
