Trims and Pricing
There is only one trim level available in the Savana Cargo Van, the WT. Its features include a tire pressure and oil monitoring system. There are options related to the size of the Savana, starting with the 1500 Series, which has a 135-inch wheelbase.
The 1500 in rear wheel drive starts out in the high $26,000 range, while the 2500 starts out in the low $28,000s. Moving up to the 155-inch wheelbase in the 2500 moves the sticker price into the low $30,000s. The 3500 with a 135-inch wheelbase is in the mid $31,000s and with the 155-inch wheelbase it moves up to the mid $32,000s.
There is also an all-wheel drive version of the 1500 available with a 135-inch wheelbase in the high $31,000 range. Membership always includes up front pricing and guaranteed savings, as well as hassle free purchasing from a certified dealer.
Engine and Performance
There are three engines available in the GMC Savana Cargo Van. The first is a Vortec 4.3-liter V6 engine that produces 195 horsepower at 4,600 RPM and 260 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 RPM. It is rated at 15 miles per gallon in the city and 20 miles per gallon on the highway.
There is also a Vortec 5.3-liter V8 FlexFuel engine that makes 310 horsepower at 5,200 RPM and 334 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 RPM. It takes gas and ethanol fuel and is rated at 13 miles per gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon in the highway.
Finally there is the Vortec 5.3-liter V8 with all wheel drive, which has the same power numbers but is coupled with four-wheel drive and loses one mile per gallon on the highway as a result.
Interior
All GMC Savana Cargo Vans include certain built-in features such as a digital compass, air bags, manual air conditioning, a radio, front bucket seats, a tire pressure monitoring system and a number of optional add-ons.
While the features that are standard are very bare bones, the options enable customers to tailor the vehicle to their liking. Optional upgrades include rear air conditioning, a compact disc and MP3 player, navigation, Bluetooth compatibility, cruise control, power locks, a rear facing camera, a remote starter, keyless entry, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, audio controls on the steering wheel and a USB port.
When it comes to colors, there is a variety available starting along a grayscale. There is Onyx Black, a deep gray Steel Gray Metallic, a lighter Pure Silver Metallic and Summit White. When it comes to earth tones, Sand Beige Metallic is a light brown color and Polo Green Metallic is a dark green. Other colors include Deep Blue Metallic, a navy blue, Fire Red and Wheatland Yellow, a golden yellow.
Cloth interiors are available in Neutral and Medium Pewter. The Neutral color is a mid-range brown. In vinyl interiors, Neutral and Medium Pewter remain the color choices. This time the Neutral color is a lighter, tan-colored brown.
