There are many compact crossovers on the market, but few have the panache of the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Available with many luxury and tech features, the small German SUV is a nice blend of comfort and versatility. There are even high-performance variants that handle and accelerate like sports cars. The GLC was initially released in 2016 and received a full redesign for 2020.

Trims and Pricing
The Mercedes-Bens GLC is available in four trim levels: GLC 300, GLC 43 and GLC 63. Each trim level is offered in both an SUV and Coupe version.
The GLC 300 trim is available in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive starting around $43,000 and $45,000 respectively. The GLC 300 comes well equipped with a 10.25” multimedia display, Apple CarPlay, real wood interior trim, ambient lighting and much more. The Coupe version starts around $50,000.
The GLC 43 trim is the first fo the AMG line and increases engine performance and offers a more sporty drive experience starting around $60,000. With the additional cost buyers receive a large amount of performance form a twin-turbo V6 powertrain, a quick-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission, and an adjustable suspension. The GLC 43 Coupe version starts around $63,000.
For those seeking ultimate performance in a compact crossover look no further than the GLC 63 AMG. Offering nearly 500 horsepower and a sub 4 second 0-60 miles per hour time from a handcrafted engine, this vehicle is seriously quick. Not only does it offer stellar performance, but it is also equipped with a truly high-end interior featuring real wood trim and unique AMG styling. Starting around $74,000 the GLC 63 AMG offers the ultimate expression of the GLC Bodystyle. The GLC 63 AMG Coupe starts around $76,500.
For those that want that little bit extra, the GLC 63 S AMG is offered which adds additional power and luxury to the GLC 63 AMG brining the power up over 500 horsepower. This exclusive trim starts around $84,000.
Engine and Performance
The GLC is powered by four distinct powertrains. The GLC 300 and GLC 300 4MATIC features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed transmission and also features 3500lbs of towing capacity.
The GLC 43 4MATIC features a 3.0L twin-turbocharged engine that produces 385 horsepower and 384 lb.-ft. of torque. The GLC 43 also features adjustable suspension to harness this additional power.
The GLC 63 4MATIC+ increased the powertrain to a twin-turbo V8 producing a tremendous 469 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. In addition to the increased power, the GLC 63 AMG receives AMG components throughout the vehicle allowing this much power to be deployed to the road.
The GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ increases the performance more still with 503 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque on tap. FUrther performance refinement continues through the vehicle with an additional drive mode and numerous tweaks to allow the vehicle to substantiate its claim as one of the fastest SUV’s in the world.
