What's New for 2020

The two-passenger NV Cargo comes in light-duty (1500) and heavy-duty (2500 and 3500) configurations. Additionally, customers choose from three trim levels: S, SV, and SL.

The S trim starts around $30,500. It comes with an automatic transmission, disc brakes, 17-inch steel wheels, a full-size spare tire, a backup camera, halogen headlights, manual-folding mirrors, two cloth bucket seats, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, adaptive steering, a two-speaker audio system, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and a seven-inch touchscreen.

The SV, retailing from about $31,500, adds amenities like rear parking sensors, power side mirrors, cruise control, a four-speaker audio system.

For around $33,000, the SL gets a security alarm, heated side mirrors, an 8-way power driver's seat, a household-style power outlet, and other features. The SL is only available in the 2500/3500 heavy-duty platforms.

An optional rear-door glass package adds glass windows to the tailgate doors, with a built-in defroster. An upgraded infotainment system is also available, including satellite radio and voice-activated navigation. Vinyl upholstery is available on the S trim.

Nissan provides shoppers with two engine options: an economical V6 and a powerful V8.

The V6 engine produces 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, and it connects to a five-speed automatic transmission. Power goes to the rear wheels. The V6 has a max payload capacity of 3,280 pounds.

The V8 produces 375 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque, improving acceleration and hauling abilities but impacting fuel efficiency. Mated to a seven-speed transmission, the V8 carries up to 3,850 pounds of payload.

The Nissan NV Cargo has a similarly straightforward feel to other full-size commercial vans. It has cloth seating for two people, with vinyl available on the base S trim level. The cloth is water-repellant and wear-resistant. The S and SV have four-way manual adjustable seats; the SL gets an eight-way power driver's seat. Air conditioning and heating come standard across the lineup, while things like cruise control and power heated side mirrors are available on upper trims. Nissan also includes a large seven-inch touchscreen with built-in Bluetooth hands-free calling.

The interior is functional and ready for cargo, available in standard and high roof configurations. Owners can outfit the cargo bay with ladder racks for holding things like boxes or repair equipment. Cargo volume ranges from 234.1-323.1 cubic feet, depending on the roof height. There are six floor-mounted D-rings included, helping operators easily secure bulky cargo.
