Trims and Pricing

The Rogue Sport comes in three trims: S, SV, and SL.

The S trim starts at about $23,500 and it includes LED daytime running lights and 16-inch steel wheels. Inside, occupants enjoy a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4-speaker sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, remote keyless entry, cruise control, variable intermittent wipers, 12-volt DC power outlet, overhead sunglasses storage, cargo cover, cloth seating, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Stepping up to the roughly $25,000 SV trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane change assist, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and an 8-way power driver seat.

The top-of-the-line SL costs about $28,500, and it gets 19-inch wheels, leather seats, surround-view camera system, navigation, and a semi-autonomous driving system called Nissan ProPILOT Assist.

Engine and Performance

The Nissan Rogue Sport utilizes a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. It generates 141 hp and 147 lb-ft of torque and connects to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front- and all-wheel-drive are available. The EPA estimates the front-wheel-drive model to return 25 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Those number dip to 24 mpg and 30 mpg, respectively, with all-wheel drive.

Interior

The small Nissan has an airy cabin, with a two-tone interior color scheme. The upper dash and door panels are black, and whether one chooses gray or charcoal upholstery also determines the rest of the interior’s color. The SV and SL also have subtle metal trim accents. The flat-bottom steering wheel is a nice touch, and the seats are supportive. Cargo space in the Rogue Sport is quite good, and it comes standard with a cargo cover to help protect items from unsolicited looks.
