2024 Nissan Titan XD Review

Overview
Comfortable seats. Standard driver-safety technology. Lengthy warranty coverage. Four-wheel drive is included across the lineup.
Cab size and bed length are one-size-fits-all. Towing and payload capacities trail the segment. Platinum Reserve has fewer luxury features than rivals' top-shelf trims.
The 2024 Nissan Titan XD is rugged and comfortable, but it lacks the fuel economy and luxury features to compete with more modern rivals. Its seats are plush, and standard four-wheel drive makes quick work of rocky trails, but towing and payload numbers are uncompetitive in a heavy-duty segment.
What's New for 2024
Trims and Pricing
The Nissan Titan XD is available in three trim levels: SV, PRO-4X, and Platinum Reserve. All come with a four-door crew cab, a 6.5-foot bed, a 400-hp V8 powertrain, and four-wheel drive with low range.
SV
The SV trim has a base price of $51,930. It comes with 17-inch steel wheels, Nissan's Safety Shield® 360 driver safety systems, cloth seats, adaptive cruise control, proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, air conditioning, an eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and USB ports.
PRO-4X
The PRO-4X trim is ready for off-road exploration. Starting at $57,890, it comes with automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, a rear locking differential, fog lights, a power driver's seat, a nine-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, a universal garage door opener, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, HD Radio, navigation, and a premium audio system.
Platinum Reserve
The top-of-the-line Platinum Reserve rings in at $65,840. It adds 20-inch wheels, chrome exterior accents, running boards, a surround-view camera system, two-tone leather, heated/cooled front seats, heated rear outboard seats, open-pore wood trim, driver memory settings, remote start, and a heated steering wheel.

Interior
The Titan XD's cabin is large and comfortable, but it's starting to show its age. More modern rivals have sleeker interiors and more advanced tech. Still, the Titan XD comes with many standard features.
Life inside the Titan XD feels pleasantly trucky and straightforward. The driver gauge cluster and infotainment stack create two bumps in the dashboard, adding to an all-around rugged vibe. The physical buttons within reach of the driver are large and easy to use, and good outward visibility helps while driving. Nissan's touchscreens are smaller than competitors, but they are easy to use, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto are included.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Nissan's standard touchscreen is a 7-inch display, which comes with the base Titan XD SV. It's dwarfed by other modern systems, many of which are 10- or 12 inches diagonally. But the Nissan's intuitive menus and sharp graphics make the setup work well. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard on all models.
Stepping up the PRO-4X or Platinum Reserve nets you a 9-inch touchscreen, and this one includes navigation.
Safety
The 2024 Nissan Titan XD has not been tested for crashworthiness by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The Titan XD comes with a wide array of safety technology, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, reverse automatic braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. A trailer sway controller is also included. Upper trims offer forward parking sensors and LED headlights.
Nissan Titan XD vs. the Competition
The Nissan Titan XD is in a busy category with several other massively capable pickups. The Ford Super Duty F-250 and Ram 2500 both offer more interior space, fancier amenities, and a more forgiving ride. The Titan XD lags the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD in sheer pulling power, and Chevy offers several engine and body configurations to Nissan's one.

The Starting Market Average is a proprietary mathematical calculation based on actual recent transactions. It provides a statistically accurate understanding of what other buyers are paying for the least expensive configuration of this vehicle. Adjustments to the calculation beyond make, model, and trim are normalized based on detailed, anonymized transaction information. This accounts for the fact that most or all recently-sold vehicles included different option combinations. The data underlying the Starting Market Average calculation are filtered for extreme outliers and subjected to a weighted averaging process that considers factors such as the recency of transactions and the timing of data lags. In certain instances, the calculated result is adjusted to take account of abrupt changes in the market that may not yet be fully reflected by recent transaction prices. In all cases where the Starting Market Average is shown there is sufficient sample size and transaction detail to be statistically reliable.
