The style. Was looking for a small wagon with lots of cargo space. This is my 5th VW. Like the styling/design.

The car has an obvious safety flaw/mechanical issue, but since there are no fault codes VW won't do anything. It shudders and lurches backwards when releasing the brake pedal. It has a delay before engaging in gear. Means the traffic light turns green and I sit there. Very frustrating, scary and disappointing.

I love that my VW Golf Alltrack has a 6-speed manual transmission in an overall fun to drive package. You just cannot find that these days. Great room in the cargo area with the wagon configuration but I do not sacrifice the fun to drive experience the VW Golf is known for. The infotainment system is fantastic and easy to use. Everything is logically laid out in the cabin. My only gripe is that VW has decided to discontinue selling the VW Golf Alltrack in North America. Such a shame as I think it was just really starting to catch on with the general public as the perfect alternative to the ubiquitous SUVs and Outback's which litter the American roads today.

Gas mileage could definitely be much better.
